That is a good use! The dough in kneaded and proofed at the correct temperatureI love my machine for making dough. I then use the oven for the baking. Pap Pap had a bakery. He understood using what makes it easier as long as it didn’t effect the end result.
I make dough in my machine as well. I usually take it out after its risen and let it rise a second time in a bowl before doing anything. I'm happy to know I'm not the only one that has had this problem. I never knead by hand though. My stand mixer does a better job then I ever could. But I'm shy on counter space and I didn't want to get it out because its bulky and heavy whereas the bread machine is notThat is a good use! Yea I figured it'd be some trial and error. I inherited it from my mother who never used it for bread because "it makes lousy bread". I'm guessing she tried once and this same thing happened. I'll have to try again. I can't justify trying right now though when I have a nasty loaf in the fridge waiting to consumed by chickens.I was just worried it was my machine. Now knowing that I have to play around with the buttons I feel a little better. I make fine bread without the machine and I worked for a bakery for many years so imagine my embarrassment when I couldn't make bread in something that does it for you
