Any Home Bakers Here?

My husband had a backhoe and dug graves at a local cemetery...
and we had many good days with it. He later sold it...I still have
photos an their are times we wish we had one. Aria

I still have mine, it ranges from a digger, backfiller, relocate heavy items, etc. and my portable scaffold. It has caused me lots of extra work because of all the things that I have done that I would not have done if I had to do them by hand. It has also been a convenience for the neighbors. I have lost count of how many horses that I have buried for them.

Interesting job! I once had a coworker whose husband was a mortician. They lived above the mortuary and she said it was rather creepy.

Our soil is clay over caliche, ie cement. A backhoe would come in handy!

After we sold the backhoe Floyd purchased a John Deere with a bucket and THAT is Floyd's helper. Love it. Aria

The tractor we bought when we were in Wyoming come with a front bucket, and backhoe. It had a cab to boot - so AC and Heat. DH wanted to buy it so we could dig out our driveway from the snowstorms - all we had was a 2 stage sidewalk sized snowblower and a plow blade on our ATV. The plow blade was worthless on the snow drifts we would get out there. We had a neighbor that would come help us dig out, but his tractor was a small John Deere that was built more for cleaning stalls than for moving snow. Plus, he didn't have a cab - so he would have to bundle up and get covered in snow.
There were plenty of times that DH would spend an entire day in the tractor digging out the neighbors. I would see him drive past with his jacket off and window open, if the sun is out, it gets hot in that cab.

But, once he got his tractor, he got a burning desire to grow stuff. So we moved back to WI so he could work up fields and plant deer food plots. lol

Have to admit knew if we had more land we would need one had 2 riding mowers when we moved here so nope no tractor on 3/4 of an acre Son has what they call a mule or a side by side with a dump bed

My husband works part time digging graves. I clean the funeral home.

If you have property, you need a good tractor for sure

We have 3 acres and one large John Deere and one small one.
We use both....saves Floyd a lot of work. Aria
