loaves. Why? I do not know. Just me I guess. NEAT. Recipe?
I was gifted a lousy cold the day before Thanksgiving, so we had to call in sick. We were planning on going to my nephew's house, he and GF had a baby we haven't met yet so we didn't dare go.
Turns out DS got the cold at the same time so they couldn't go either, so I bundled up in my granny sweater and headed out to Safeway at 9 pm to buy a turkey. I sniffled my through the dinner which I'm indifferent to but oh the leftovers! Turkey sandwiches and turkey rice soup for brekkie the last 2 days, tonight it's chunked turkey in gravy over toast. I put stuff in the bread machine for this toast, I guess it counts as baking...????
I started a sourdough culture a couple days ago, I'm so inspired by this thread!
Frosting does not spread well when cold. I have tried that before and it was not funI'm making 12 pans of these brownies today. I will mix them up and put them in the refrigerator to be baked tomorrow. I want them to be fresh for a Wednesday luncheon. They will be gifted to the other 11 ladies in my monthly lunch group, and the 12th for DH's class.
I need your expert opinions on this. Can I mix up the frosting today and put that in the refrigerator also until tomorrow, or should I wait and mix it up tomorrow? I'd like all the mixing to be done today so I'm just assembling tomorrow, but I don't want to end up with a glob of unspreadable frosting. (I know I'll have to melt the choco drizzle tomorrow.)
