Any Home Bakers Here?

With the amount of bread my children eat (especially my oldest son) I'd never keep up.
Growing up we baked 6 loaves of sandwich bread a week and french bread for special occasions and weekends

The batches need to be bigger and a kithenaid can't make that big of a batch! Hand kneading all the way!

My grandma was feeding 13 kids, she made 4 loaves of bread every morning - in a wood fired oven. Plus dessert for supper.
There were 4 kids in my Family. The 6 loaves lasted a week for us. I started baking the bread when I was 12

I have the dough chilling for some extra spicy gingersnaps! I got the recipe here and it was sooo good last time! I have some kefir I won’t be using tonight so I think I’ll start some of @penny1960 ’s sourdough starter. All this talk of sourdough baking is giving me the itch. Thanks everyone!
:hugs They make a cream for that.
