Any Home Bakers Here?

I baked some brownies yesterday. Chocolate, and I split them in half and spread some peanut butter stuff in between the layers.
It was only one tray -- which is barely enough to survive one night in my house -- and they're all gone now... I only got one and a half. Tasted good, though, and I'm glad the everyone liked them.
I didn't bake anything today, but I did make some marzipan.

I've never made marzipan before, don't think I've even tasted it before. How do you make it?

There are two ways of making it: One is cooked marzipan, and the other is uncooked. Some recipes have egg whites, but the one that I use doesn't.
The recipe that I use is:
1 cup ground almonds
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 to 2 tablespoons water
Work everything except for the water together in a bowl until there are no large lumps, and then gradually work in 1 to 2 tablespoon of water with your hands until the mixture can be formed into a ball. It's a bit hard to describe the texture, but I'll try: It should be workable like fondant, but somewhat sticky -- not dry or crumbly. You should be able to roll it out between two sheets of waxed paper, and it should hold its shape when formed.
Wrap in plastic wrap or place in a ziplock bag and store in the fridge.

I just learned I need to have surgery on my nose. Here's what happened:

Went to a ENT doctor to have my nose looked at because for the past, well, long while, I have been having trouble breathing through a nostril. The doctor looked at my nose, and was surprised.

Lets just say, the doctor was able to tell WITHOUT a cat scan that my septum was severely out of shape. I need surgery to get it fixed.

In short, I am going to have surgery done on my nose.

I hope the surgery helps!
