Any Home Bakers Here?

Jared, I remember singlehood being very painful at times. It's a tradeoff between freedom and loneliness.

At one point, someone laughed and said, "You're only 23!" I wanted to grab him by the collar and say, "No, I'm all of 23. And 23 years is damn long time to be lonely."

So I send you hugs and warm thoughts. :hugs :hugs

It’s hard being single at times. Sometimes I love it sometimes it’s painful. The past few years me and one of my closest friend who was also single would get together and eat chocolate and watch movies together on Valentines so we weren’t tempted to sit at home and wallow. This year she’s at the beach with her boyfriend. I’m happy for her but it’s a little hard to stomach. I’ve found over the years that it helps a lot to stay off of social media on Valentines.

If it helps any I blame the greeting card industry!

On the final round of 5 card draw poker, I got this hand. How ironic I got this hand on Valentine’s Day, and they’re all hearts.

Needless to say, I won the round. Made me feel a little better.

I wonder if that’s a sign that love is coming my way........

It is mined outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. A number of garden centers in Utah carry it. It usually sells for around $24 per 40 lb. sack there. You can get it on Amazon for $40 with "free" shipping.

I know of one place in southern California that carries it. If you get lucky you might find it in a garden center near you.
You have to get very lucky. I’ve been searching for a while and may resort to Amazon this year before my Prime runs out.

It falls into the free shipping category even if you don't have Prime.

My brother comes up from AZ in October and stops (usually in Provo, UT) and picks some up for me. I hoard it. $24 for a 40 lb. sack beats Amazon's $40 for a 40 lb. sack.

Good afternoon bakers. It has been a while, I hope you’re well. I come in and catch up as I can but it has been hectic with gardening, dogs, ducks and kids. I’m taking two days off the money making job next week to deep clean the house and purge a few things. Sad that’s what I’m doing on days off but :idunnoI broke down and bought a bread machine  I miss homemade bread but there are not enough hours in my day to make it. Plus I can make it in summer and not heat up the whole house. I did make a batch of breakfast cookies the other day for snacks for Igor. I added espresso powder and chocolate chips to this batch and apparently they’re rather popular at work so I promised a batch for next week. I’m still experimenting with the espresso pwd though.
