Any Home Bakers Here?

I keep my beans in the freezer. Clean before using. Rinse thoroughly. Put in crockpot, sdd 1 tsp salt per cup of dried beans. Cook on high about 4-6 hours or 2 hours on high then overnight on low. Nobody ever seems to get gas from them. I don't know if it's the freezing that helps or the long cooking. If this works for you, please report back!

I find when cooking pinto beans I put them in a pan covered with water and add baking soda overnight.

Only fill the pan half way with the beans and fill to top with water.

The next day I dump the water and rinse the beans prior to cooking.

They can be frozen or canned at this time, or you can continue to cook them and when they are finished cooking you can eat, can, or freeze them.

Morning Home Bakers. Started raining here ..
No sign of @Aria want her back to us.
On one hand, I hope she didn’t leave. On the other hand, if she did leave, I can see why.

LONG POST:

I have been cyber bullied many times in my life on many different places on the Internet. It can be very painful emotionally. In the moment, I wanted to leave the place I was bullied for good. Sometimes, I did leave for good, because I wanted to avoid pain from being cyber bullied again. The problem with doing this is it doesn’t resolve the trauma of being cyber bullied. In fact, if you try to cover up the trauma without allowing your brain to process and resolve it, it can do more harm than good.

A good example was several years ago when I first joined a hunting forum. The moment I posted my successful turkey hunt picture, I was cyber bullied because I “did something wrong and was an accident waiting to happen.”

I left that forum, but the effects of the trauma were still there. I was living in fear of being cyber bullied again due to trauma from the cyber bullies.

Several years later, still feeling the trauma effects, I decided to face my fear and allow my brain to process the trauma and get rid of it. I posted that “they were right, I did make a mistake on that hunt, and I left because I felt cyber bullied.”

I am now a good member of that forum and I have some good friends there. The trauma disappeared.

Like I said, the BEST thing to do is to try to process the trauma BEFORE it takes over your emotional life, even if it means going to a therapist.

If she did leave, it might be because of the pain and trauma of being cyber bullied.

I hope and pray she gets through it and comes back.

When you leave because of rude people you just let them WIN!

Don't give them the opportunity to hold anything over you.

Jared you used the right approach even if it was much later.
