I could not remember which DD needed to be GF and did not see the bottom line at first and was like you store your GF buns on the fridge?? Are you nuts??

...yeah, whole 'nother animal.
Remember the PM novel I sent you a while back when you were trying to find a potato starch substitute?

*sigh* I sure wish GF could be one straight flour sub and not all these PITA mixes.

I'm planning a "traditional" pizza crust soon and will let you know how it goes. I think the potato starch in the mix could easily be swapped out for arrowroot or cornstarch.

Had to avoid peanut anything for quite a while because of kiddo's allergies and yep, those PB subs are just nasty!
Kiddo outgrew the peanut allergy but some tree nuts are a problem now.
Tried sunbutter? Sunflower nut butter? Not terrible. Kinda like it. Makes a pretty good sandwich with Claussen dill pickles! :drool

We did. And we had to do that one for quite a while.
Kiddo thought it was meh... I on the other hand was not impressed, sorry.
Of course with pickles isn't really my thing either. 🤪

Lol, understood, I've been called weird gross, disgusting and worse for forever on that one! Mom's fault, she packed it in our school lunches since Day One, lol. Nobody ever tried to steal MY lunches, thanks Mom! :lau

Sunbutter is good, I haven't tried it with pickles, but I think they should go well together. Especially if the pickles are Claussen! Claussen is my favorite brand.

Almond butter is not too expensive if you make your own. I stock up on almonds when they're on sale. I can have peanuts (thank goodness), but I like to mix in some almonds in my nut butters.
I'd love to try making my own nut butters... but kiddo has tree nut allergies.
Which is a bummer because many creamed nuts like cashews can be used in place of cheeses need in recipes to hold stuff together for those with dairy allergies.

For me, I have tried using a flour mix make of coconut flour, almond flour, and flaxmeal. It's ok if all you need is a little bit to hold something together like a savory dish, but not something I consider bake worthy.

There is a Kirkland almond butter from Costco that is good.
