Any Home Bakers Here?

Cornbread
400 oven
Square cake pan or 6 muffin cups
1 cup cornbread flour
1 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 well beaten egg
1/3 cup vegetable oil
Make a well for liquids
Do not over mix, rest dough 15 minutes.
Bake 15 minutes in convection oven.
20 regular oven.

I'm going to try to bake a fruitcake from my Father's recipe.

I have divided the ingredients in half and in reading the instructions you need to steam the cake for 5 hours, then bake the cake for 1 1/2 hours in a slow oven to dry cake.

I have never had a recipe that called for steaming and baking in a slow oven.

Would someone please let me know how to do this and what temperature to use with each?
