I curdled 2 batches of Crème Anglais and my salmon got incinerated on the grill so I’m taking a break from the kitchen.

The recipe didn’t say to use a double boiler but that’s what I’ll do next time. It’s still tasty but not that smooth texture you’re after with that sort of thing.

custards can be challenging! I have a small burner for simmering that works well for custards.

Ron, I thank God for that. With all that has been in my LIFE since 2020...my
husband passes, I break my hip, end up in a Luthern Nursing Home (PRISON)
get COVID, and that is a LONG HORRIBLE TIME, come home and have a
house FIRE. I believe anyone would be unhappy. YOU and my friends at
BYC were so needed in my life. We are a small family and no family lives
in my area. ENOUGH sad life. Looking forward to much better times, trying
praying to DEVELOP A GOOD ATTITUDE. YOU help, Fond regards, Aria

On a sidenote, I was at Deseret industries in Twin Falls. I was just browsing. I found this table.

On closer inspection, the top came off revealing this.

Bumper pool table. I purchased it. When I got home, it was quite a hassle getting out of the car. It was also a hassle getting it into the car. The people loading it said “it is extremely heavy for its size.”

When I finally looked at it, I realized that this is a slate table. Not a wooden one.

US$40.00 for a slate bumper pool table? Now that’s a bargain!
