Not crazy about hickory in the wood stove, it spits and sparks!

Ah! We have standing (living) hickory, and haven't had much, if any, for firewood. So I hadn't noticed this.

Sassafras can be "active," but I love the smell!

My friend has pneumonia. The hospital offered to keep her a few days, but she is slow, and “she’s deaf, stop yelling at her,” doesn’t sink in for them. I’ve dealt with the hospital administrator a few times lately.
Anyway… I promised her pancakes this morning to boost her mood. Y’all know I don’t measure things, and it’s a shame. My pancakes were so good, I gasped for breath!
I know I added extra vanilla and sugar, but not how much.

It only takes a couple of feedings to get it going. I will send you some sourdough stuff.

I am using Ronnott Starter since September 2016. AND IT HAS WORKED
EVERYTIME. Aria
