I highly recommend that you get a different ISP than AOL. I quit them many years ago. I have never regretted it.

A local wireless ISP. Check around and see what your local options are. What you have available there will be different than what is available here

I had to go with the wireless option here because it was the only option other than over the phone line that was available here at my rural residence.

I have DSL, connected through the phone line. It works well for internet, even live streaming.

DSL through the phone line is very expensive here. They require you to bundle it with a landline phone to get any kind of reasonable deal. In this rural location a landline phone is very expensive.

DSL works great if you can get a reasonable price for it. Ruraly here, there was no competition for a long time and still aren't many options available.

The fiber optic places offer really good service at a price.
