Any Home Bakers Here?

Scraping the crust off the sd jar, some dislodged, and went up my nose. About 20 minutes later, the dog wanted to eat the dough off of my hand. Unfortunately, he didn’t realize it was actually my finger he just stuck in his mouth. I am happy to say he realized it in time, and no blood was drawn. The dog biscuits are baking, and my nose is blown.

I have had a craving for ginger snaps, or molasses cookies.

I looked like  the other day when we got a down pour of 3inchs of rain in just 2 1/2 hours! We hardly get that much in that short of time. Here in West TX it's always super dry and hot.

For the past year I've been learning how to bake yeast breads here at home. It's been challenging and rewarding (when it all comes together right, lol).

Today for the 1st time I made up a Boule recipe and ran into a snag. Is there anyone here that's familiar with yeast breads? Since I'm here several times a day reading about chickens, it would be great to chat with others that also bake.

This is great! I bake many things & have way more experience in the kitchen than with chickens 😁. I'm here to learn & now I've found a place I can contribute!
