Any Home Bakers Here?

So sad. Fortunately I have not had that happen to me. I usually do everything the SAME..since it works. I do not
handle CHANGE well.
I had bought one 3-pack of "fast" yeast. I used it this time. I won't again.

I like to twiddle with cooking, baking. Sometimes it comes out great, occasionally not. Oh well.

fuzzi I bake weekly ....I purchase large bag of yeast from Amazon....
put it in a glass Jar....store in the Freezer. When I bake no need remove from freezer.....remove and add when you bake.
Bread rises EVERY TIME....YEAST STORED IN FREEZER Seems
like forever.....Never failed. Not a few weeks...has worked for me...and I never run out of yeast. Always some in the Freezer.
use it when I bake.

I'm a "twiddler" too. I have learned that I need to change ONE thing at a time when I make changes. If it's an improvement, good, keep it. If it isn't, make note and change something else next time.

If I change more than one thing and it works, that's great. But if it doesn't work, then I'm not sure what change might have caused the failure.

Well, I do this with baking recipes. If it's something like soup or stew, I might change 3-4 things. :lau

If you ever decide to start writing software, LET ME KNOW! I'll hire you. With that attitude, you've already got the hard part figured out.

I won't use that type of yeast again, for sure.
