On Saturday, a friend is going to be gifting me an old bread machine, some pans and various flours and sugars.
The first challenge is to teach a few special needs adults how to use the bread machine. They cannot master cookies, but I think the bread machine is easier. :fl

Praying for you and your affords!

Today I am baking another batch of dog treats, some to share with a woman with 11 dogs, and chocolate cobbler. I don’t think the cobbler will last long at church. I have never heard of it, and cannot imagine making it often. There are 7,875 cups of sugar per batch. :th

Chocolate cobbler

Melt 1 stick butter in 13X9 pan, and boil water while proceeding.

Mix together with a spoon:

1.5C self rising flour

1.25C sugar

1.75Tb unsweetened cocoa powder

3/4C whole milk

2tsp vanilla extract

Slowly drizzle over butter in pan

1.5 C sugar

0.5 C cocoa powder

Stir with fork until no lumps

Sprinkle with spoon across the last layer.

S-l-o-w-l-y pour

2.25C boiling water over layers

Allow to soak in a few minutes.

Bake @ 350° for 30 minutes.

If you stir anything in the pan, you are going to be in trouble. You are also not allowed to use an electric mixer. :rant

Self rising flour

1 cup AP flour

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Ahoy!

I be preparing to go on a deer hunt this October 9th. Season be open October 10th. I be sailing to North Idaho to a friends house, where rumors persist of an 8 point wandering the property frequently.

I also be helping my friend clean up her house in exchange for being allowed to deer hunt there.

Exciting!
