Any Home Bakers Here?

I am out of the hospital. It turns out it’s more than likely not serotonin syndrome. On the contrary, I have a nodule on my thyroid. It’s very difficult to explain, but from what I understand my thyroid is in overdrive. That would explain a lot of things.
I hope it is an easy fix!

I posted about making some gluten free muffins a while back, and I've finally written out the recipe with my own notes and such, thought I'd share. IMG_20251001_133737277.jpg

I haven’t had time for reading the last couple of days, i will go to the doctor again, got an mri, got cartilage damage, as feared, in my knee, getting older isn’t for cowards 🙄 I have a question, I would like to make chocolate chip cookies with sd, but everywhere I looked, they added extra leavening agents, is that really necessary?!
I also had a knot in my thyroid, it wasn’t active, they only removed part of it ( the surgeon had a bad day) but in the end, I was glad, they removed the complete thyroid of my friend, and she had a very hard time getting the hormones adjusted, collapsed, cos her calcium was too low, then had to take huge amounts of calcium, then the levels were too high, she now is ok, but she had a couple of rough weeks 😬

My friend gifted these to my family. What do I do with a bunch of pears?
Jared, you can dice the pears up, and bake a pear cobbler. You don't need to use them all at once. freeze some portions diced for future bakes.
Easy cobbler,, is a yellow cake, (baking powder raised) somewhat stiff, with fruit pieces pushed into the dough.

With pears, you can just wash them and remove the small center core, and leave skins on.
