I am loving this recipe book so far!

I’m not sure if it’s okay to post this in this thread?

I made banana bread this morning and it didn’t quite turn out, so I was wondering if y’all could help me figure out what went wrong?

It’s mushy in the middle, like not even cooked all the way. The sides are fine. I didn’t want to cook it even more or the top would be burnt.

My sister has made this recipe before and it turned out just fine. :hmm

Thanks in advance for any help!

Recipe look fine...I am a health nut...too much sugar, too much margarine for me. Perhaps someone else could help.

Just needed to bake longer.

Ok, thanks!

What about the top getting burnt?

I don’t know if this will work, but usually I put aluminum foil over the top of something if I don’t want it to be burnt in the oven.

For example, when I bake pie, if I don’t want the crust to burn, I put aluminum foil over it.

Hi all! Popping in to share my new favorite fall recipe: Apple cinnamon sourdough streusel muffins. One of my taste testers said they were "The epitome of fall in a muffin", and that pretty well sums it up! I did make a few changes to make them slightly healthier : Cut the sugar in the muffins in half (because of sweetness from streusel and apples) did half white whole wheat, half all purpose flour, added chia seeds, and they did better in my oven at 20 minutes. These are really great to take to a brunch, and also go perfectly with a cup of tea.
