If for some reason you do not get to the end of a watched thread you are reading, in this case, this thread, before you leave the thread, you will not get any more notifications until you get caught up with the rest of the thread.

Sometimes this happens because someone else posted at the same time that you were leaving the thread.

I have email notifications turned off. If I wnat to see if there has been any new posts in a thread that I watch, I go to my watched threads.

You can get on BYC any time without getting an email. Just put Backyardchickens.com in your address bar.

If you see your User Name in the header, you are logged in, if not, Log in.

Once you are logged in click on Watched in the lower part of the header and it will take you to your Watched threads. Any threads that are in bold type are ones that have had new posts in them since you were last viewing them.

Sorry, @Aria I had trouble getting in myself. I just now saw this. To add onto what @R2elk said, try the following to get notifications:

Go to your computers email inbox and go to the search bar to search your mail.

Search your mail for "any home bakers here?" and click it.

Once you are on the email click "view this thread." It should be a green box near the bottom of the text preview. It will take you to the thread.

Then, at the top of the thread click the most recent page, in this case 6405.

That should do it.

This worked for me on more than one occasion and should get you receiving notifications again.

I'm not having any trouble now but for awhile yahoo was sending notifications to my spam file. I got it fixed using my email settings.
