Yes, and if you want to remove the hulls, you can filter the flour. I do not do that since I want real whole grains.
In the past, when I used my KA mill attachment, I did sift. But I then saved the coarse flour (bran) in the freezer to add to recipes like meatloaf. You can also cook it up as a hot cereal or add it to granola bars.
 
Best thing to do is to grow them in a controlled environment, like a bin with humidity and CO2 control. This website has everything you need.

Try the boomr bin or Martha tent. I personally have the automated boomr bin.
