Any Home Bakers Here?

<sigh> I took a picture. Now I am ashamed, and I need to hide the evidence.
I am not ashamed because I had to make a last second switch when I realized that I was out of chocolate chips. The frosting is a little bit tacky, but I’m not worried about that. It’s the fact that the cocoa powder should have been sifted. I saw it, and I ignored it. It wasn’t as obvious before it hardened.

Looks good enough to eat to me,,,, :drool:drool:drool

I'll be making a gf sugar cookie sheet today! Hubby couldn't find gel food coloring, so he got me pink frosting instead... We'll see how it goes to use something that's not my own frosting. I suppose I can tweak it as needed.
It's for our old calendar Easter dinner tomorrow. He also got me what are *hopefully* Easter themed MnMs to use as sprinkles.

I often wonder why all holidays are not on all calendars. Orthodox Easter is an example.

Well, the cake is disappearing. It made a good breakfast, and a good dinner. Don’t worry, I had a green salad for lunch.
Speaking of which, while eating the cake for dinner, I started to think about all the ways that it is the healthiest cake I’ve ever eaten. :lau Graham crackers, and a lot of milk with dark cocoa.

As I understand it, the Catholic Church shifted to the new calendar for all of the holidays, and most other forms of Christianity afterwards followed suit.
The Orthodox Church usually follows the old calendar still, so our Easter jumps around depending on Lent.
