No Idea. I have a mutt hen that looks just like that. Her mama was a Phoenix dad/Sumatra mom. I think her dad was a Sumatra mom/Phoenix dad (they were siblings from a different generation). Her sisters are both black.
Looks like other pictures of Auburn Javas I've seen. The color & spangling is bound to be muddy since the variant is only a few generations into resurrection.
that is a auburn java
they can have penciling, spangling, and some blk with the auburn color (red color) or blk with the light color in any patteren.
this is a breed that needs a lot of work so there is no bird the same. be it size, color or markings.
the need work in the size to get up to the blk java standards (SOP) if you really want to breed them and work with them I would get SQ blk javas and cross the blk on the auburns.
then breed the off springs back t the auburns till you get up to sop in the java breed and then wor of color.
These are a good hardy breed, but they are for someone that has the time and space to do right by them or as pets. This is not a money making breed as most people don't know much about them and the die hard java breeders don't look at them as javas but as mutts.
Best wishes to all that are working with them and or have them.
forgot my java page is down as I sold out of them since I'm in the middle of moving.
i won't be picking them back up either as JGS and marans,Japs are my main breeds.
The chick ooks to be a pullet too.
The one hen on bottom is a rose comb cross by looks( as rose comb in it)
