I got my chicks today, 5 BR, 5 BA and 5 EE. Two of the EE's were "chipmunks" and I have a pretty good idea what they will look like later. One was smokey-yellowish and 2 were greyish with brown on their head. I am just glad that I got a variety and not all the same but can't wait to see what they will be like..... Any guesses ????

Boy I'd like to know too! We have 5 EE's one is all light yellow. Two are yellow chipmunks and two are gray and black. Can't wait to see your responses!

The first one, not the greatest clue - It may just be a splashy duckwing cockerel or a nearly white cockerel, but don't worry just because I said that.

Most EE cockerels of that color start out with more chipmunk coloring than yours as chicks.

The second should be blue with a lot of brown to creamy colored feathering here and there, but mainly in the chest, shoulders, and face.

I had 4 yellow EE chicks that are now around 8 weeks they turned out to be really pretty light cream color with a darker gold around the head and neck.

One of my EE looked similar to your #1..here is a photo her as a youngster

and again when she was older

Her sisters in this photo looked like this as babies, so I don't think that your #2 will look anything like them.

I've seen pictures of some EE that have a blue splash look to them. The coloring on your chick reminds me of them...maybe you'll be lucky enough to have her grow up into one of them:) Have fun, and enjoy those eggs, whether they're cream, green, or blue! (I've had cream and green/blue from my 3 girls)

Thank you so much for your replies and pictures !!!!
I think my creamy EE might just turn out to be my favorite ..... she just stands out of my bunch of all dark chicks, can't help it

(and I just hope that she is a she!!)
Can't wait to see what they will look like later and what color eggs they will lay. I love surprises

Mom to two little boys (6 months and 2 years), 2 dogs (boys), DH and finally my 16 girls (6 BR, 5 BA, 5 EE)......
- Not outnumbered anymore -

I have a bunch that looked like your second one, they are a lemon/blue now. I will try to get some pictures of them, but I don't have any as chicks.

For the first bird, I had several that started out that way. The first one looks to be all white with one 1/2 black tail feather so far.

The others are getting in flecks of red/gold, especially around the neck.

It's fun to see how they'll feather out. Some appear to be one color but by adulthood they've changed!! Then you get to anticipate the egg color!!
I have no blues
