    This is one of 3 surviving chicks from an Ideal order . I have no idea what it is and if it even was one we ordered. We ordered an assortment of Cochins, Dutch, D'uccles and OEGBS.
    It is 5 weeks old. It is obviously not a Cochin or D'Uccle because it has smooth legs.
    To me it looks like some kind of gamebird, but it must be a chicken.
    If you have any idea please tell us what you think. This bird really is a mystery to us.

    Thanks Mahonri. I am relieved to know it is a chicken after all LOL...

    I can't wait to see what she grows up to look like. { I am thinking positive about its gender}

    I have several Easter Eggers that look just like that. Does he have greenish legs?

    Thanks everyone. I would love her to be a Wellsummer, but my daughter only got banties, and this was the most tiny chick I have ever seen so she is probably a banty.
    I have to admit I was thinking Ideal threw some kind of quail or something in there. My daughter was confidant she was a chicken, but had no idea what kind.
    Gpamela3499, Thanks for the picture of your chick. Do you know what color yours will grow up to be? You are right, mine does have dark legs. Seems to be like a slate color. Other than the leg color, mine does look alot like yours.

  10. oeg.. dont think its a welsummer cause i dont see v-shape on his head
