Similar to OP's problem, I believe. Instead of yanking feathers out totally, a bird will strip the center bare. In parrots it is usually connected to stress or nutritional issues.
Any idea what this could be or causing it! I'm puzzled. (pic)

Is this possibly when they go broody? Mine tried but I kept tossing them out???

I have found that sometimes the seven isn't strong enough. I had a similar issue switched to permitherin dust and sprayed the coop with it as well.....I think Northern fowl mites live in the coop and only come out at night to feed then go back into the cracks. It looks like she is scratching herself. Just based on my own experience...Good luck!

where can we get permethrin? and also how would you bath them w/ it or the flea/tick bath?

well coop/pen and chickens have been treated again for any bugs and I've increased her protein intake and she still looks like this! lol! Don't know that I will ever figure this out!
