I have a chick that hatched last night. This chick had a very difficult hatch and I'm surprised that it made it through.
Anyway, it has a yellow discharge from its rear end. I tried to clean it up because I thought it might end up with pasty butt. Well, it was very runny behind what I wiped off. What I wiped off was gooy. This chick has been very alert and very aware and interested in what is going on around it (and very vocal). I had a JG last week that had the same thing. She was very active, alert and interested in what was going on. She would keep pasting up and everytime I would clean her more yellow stuff would come out. She died 3 days later.
Anybody know what this is and what I can do?
