I am not a vet, nor do I have any experience treating fowl. I’ll be looking to BYC experts for that when I need it! That said, I’m a nurse and if this was a human injury I would advise ...clean wound thoroughly, remove any debris , apply exposed area with neosporin or someone recommended vetricin ( I think that was what she called it) then I would cover the entire raw area with non stick dressing like adaptic.( can be purchased at drugstore.) or even gauze coated with Vaseline. Then I would wrap the bird around back and belly to keep dressing on. A self adherent wrap would work well. Sold drugstore, target etc.. change dressing daily. Keep covered until healed. Again, if experts at BYC have experience with this type of injury follow their advise. Good luck.
