Thanks.
My first choice was to sell the kids because they eat WAY more than the chickens, are louder, messeier, meaner and won't give dear ole Dad the darn remote...
Silly wife didn't think it was as good an idea as I did.
I then come up with the idea of trading her in for a couple of 20 years olds.... That one didn't go over very well either.
Got one of those "you gotta go to sleep sometime buddy" looks... Woman has no sense of humor.. what can I say?
So down to selling some of the stock. At least she hasn't figured out the incubator is running.
I did sorta casually mention the chicks coming from Jody in the spring and I really am gonna remember to tell her about the Orloff eggs and the ones from Wynette, Kathy, and a few other BYCers... eventually. Really, I'll tell her. Probably.
maybe...
Just setting here today, feeling bad and waiting on the Doctors to decide what they are going to do next. I've gotta go into the hospital for a while, but they are trying to make my stay as short as possible because they know I can't afford a long stay. So far I've got my family Doctor, my heart Doctor and two Specialist all working out a plan of action for me. The waiting is driving me nuts though.
On a good note, between the new heart meds and the nerve pills they started me on, I got a good night's sleep last night for the first time in I can't remember when.
I've had the guys at work step up to the plate and really run things there for me, so that's a lot off my mind. Had lots of people here on BYC replying to this post, PMing me, Emailing me, and other people we know calling me or my wife to check on me, and have had several visitors just come and set with me - give me a little company. It makes me feel good to know so many care, it really does. I guess you really find out who your friends are when you get down. So to all of you a big THANK YOU!
Even had someone from BYC call my wife yesterday... she can't remember who though, so that's a mystery. lol
On a side note; my son finally got an egg from the big cull pen yesterday, so Yipee, the youngest hens are starting to lay!
