Any ideas of the breed of this chick? Got her/him as an extra from a hatchery. :)

I misunderstood too! I thought you meant the parents of these chicks were from McMurray but I reread and understand now! This chick could be a Black Australorp, Black Minorca, or White Faced Black Spanish! Give it some time to mature out and for body type/earlobe color to become apparent. 10-12 weeks old would be a great time for that!

Thanks so much for your input! Yes sometimes I get a few 25 or so chicks to add to my “pet” yard/free ranging flock that is separate from my hatchery, but the only black birds I raise are silkies so I’m out of my comfort zone with this chick haha.

McMurray has to be the most tricky hatchery for black chicks just because they carry quite a few. At least at this point it appears she doesn't have yellow skin which narrows down quite a few!

I don’t know! It was in the bantam bundle it might be!
