I've tried not to do this, but been trying to work out the breeds of my hens. They all have the same father a white silkie, so they will be a mix. The White hen with lack around the collar and tail I thinks is a light sussex mix, the brown hen has the same markings so i think she is a red sussex. I'm stuck on the other two! The white one is pure white and a slender frame, the black one is big for a bantam! they all lay white eggs if that helps.

They all have feathered legs from the Silkie bit. I like the idea of the d'uccle, just not sure how to pronounce it!

Probably from a porcelain d'Uccle.

From Dictionary.com for Uccle, Uc·cle: /ˈuklə; Fr. ˈüklə/ Show Spelled[oo-kluh; Fr. y-kluh] Through the d in front and it would be "D oo-kluh"

I agree on the pekin cross. I don't think you guys call them cochin over there but pekin bantams, right?

idk? what does that mean? thanks we think they are lovely too. The d'Uccle (Helen) is so pretty and friendly.
