Still waiting to hear back from the hatchery. Apparently they are having trouble identifying them also!
Any ideas on breed? Im stumped!

They look like mixes to me. If you bought from someone who either keeps several breeds that aren't penned separately or she sold you second generation "sexlinks" (sexlinks bred to sexlinks = no longer sexlinked mixes), that would explain it.
I got mine through Estes Hatchery. Care to guess on what the parents would be? Mine are beautiful and lovely temperaments. Just wish I could quit calling them Mystery Chickens!
Not sure how I'd go about IDing chickens I can't see? Do you have a thread started someplace?
They look like Estvns 3rd and 4th pictures. I can't post through my mobile for some reason! Both of mine were black as day holds and were sold with a batch of barred plymouth rocks.
Finally heard from Hatchery #3 is supposed to be Black Copper Marans and #4 Welsummer.. BCM hens (mine is a hen) isn't supposed to have that color on throat and chest..and my #4 was a completely black chick so it can't be a Welsummer. Welsummer have chipmunk colored chicks. I know this probably isn't very helpful, it wasn't to me either. It's safe to say I am not happy with Estes Hatcheries customer service.
