Hello, I have all chicks now and some of them I know their gender but some are straight run but I'm wondering when they grow up what breeds I can mix so any recommendations for mix breeding would be great. So I have... 1 pullet Brahma, 3 Straight run Splash Silkies, 3 Black Copper Marans in total 1 Rooster and 2 hens, 2 Salmon Faverolle hens, 10 Ameraucana Straight Run, 1 Australorp Hen, 1 Orpington hen, 2 Candy Corn Polish Straight Run, 2 Light Polish (One looks like its body is a light polish and its wings and tail is Candy Corn), 1 blue orpington Straight run, 1 Isabel Orpington Straight run. And those are all of the breeds and their genders that we have, Any Recommendations for breeding with Would be much appreciated!!

Unless you have multiple pens, and can keep cockerels separated from the pullets, I suggest that you do what most of us do: choose your best cockerel, and let him breed all the pullets. You will end up with a lovely assortment of back yard mutts. Do some research regarding dominant/recessive traits of combs, egg color, muffs and beards, and feathered feet. You will find out that some traits are dominant, so what ever you choose for a rooster should enter your decision regarding what traits you want in your future generations.
