Any ideas on what breed this is?

oh i just got an order of chicks in some easter eggers, leghorns, and a polish. one of my easter eggers got wounded today though.

I love our Easter eggers! We only have two. One of ours looks like a hawk. We have three leghorns the same age as the mystery bird and haven't had them in the past...not a fan of their personalities. Live and learn I guess! We like trying new breeds. Definitely fun

Sorry to hear about your Easter egger! Hopefully nothing serious!

well she busted an air sac i think and im not sure about what will happen.

So, I am quite sure that is a White Langshan. Here are pic of a large group of white (yes, white) langshan chicks, a youngster still holding onto some of the black/blue and an adult which is now pure white. Langshans are a very unique breed with a white trait that is unlike other white genes in breeds like rocks and leghorns. I would also look up some photos of splash cochin chicks and you'll find they look nothing like what you have.

Thanks for the info! I saw that first picture early on when I was trying to identify it on my own. But I just kept confusing myself and then second guessing myself every time it changed a little. Are you thinking pullet or cockerel?

And I'm still thinking pullet, by this age a cockerel would likely have a bit more comb/waddles and they would be looking red or at least pink.
PS, Murray McMurray does carry white langshans with video of the day-old chicks on their website. They do not have splash cochins.

That was my thought too (pullet that is). I have two other cockerels right now that are very clearly males...thought maybe there was something different about this breed that I was missing. I have always just gone by the comb and wattle.

I did go on McMurray's site and look at the white langshan and I think you may be right! This was our first time ordering from them so I've never gotten a freebie bird before and had to play the guessing game but it's been kind of fun! Thanks for your help :) I'll post an updated picture as she gets older
