Any ideas on what kind of hens these are?

Welsummers also have yellow legs. Usually Rocks are thicker bodied than Wellies, which is why I said Welsummer, but it could be either. What color egg does the laced hen lay?

Cajey has yellow legs. I lean more towards her being Plymouth because her feathers have the chevron shaped herringbone pattern. The headshot pic of the Partridge Plymouth Rock hen on mypetchicken.com is her to a tee. Cajun is dark...we call her Cajun chicken because she is blackened. The lighter feathers around her neck that you see in this pic are only on her neck...they do not extend down her breast.

Thanks for the condolences over Shelly. She was a very unique part of our lives for 2 1/2 years. I don't think we will ever find another like her and we miss her very much.
