Any ideas on what this little bantam is?

interesting. thanks.

I've never seen a blue chick that was chocolate brown and couldn't find pics for that either. It looks familiar but I can't pull up why. I don't have experience with either of the suggested breeds, so I'm just looking at pics to compare to those. I haven't seen a real good fit yet.

Keep us posted with new pics so we can she how it's turning out! I love learning new things! :)

It might just be the light that is throwing the color off. I'm not sure either what the color may be but the closest I can think of is blue.

This is a blue adult:

I am very new to chickens and had no idea the color genetics were so complicated - it's very interesting! The chest of this chick is what I, in my inexperience, would call a light grey. The brown on its head is a cool brown, not a warm brown.

The chick came from Ideal, which carries chocolate OEGBs. Chocolate, from my understanding is part of the blue and black color family. I posted some pics on a chocolate-color thread but haven't gotten much of a response yet. I know it is really too soon to tell but I'm impatient and interested to see what others think!

Thanks for the pictures! I could not for the life of me find a picture of a chocolate OEGB chick, but the one you posted looks very similar.
