Any Ideas what this could be?

One of my Easter HAL Barnies has this I noticed today. I noticed the feathers missing and thought it might be getting bullied until I picked it up. It's almost like a ballon is under the skin. This "growth" is soft to the touch and you can see the loss of feathers on it. Any idea what it is? Should I separate it from the others?

Is it soft to the touch or hard? It almost looks like a full crop, but not sure. is it on or near the front, right breast?

That's probably just the crop, which is where some of the food goes basically. When it's soft they haven't eaten a lot, when it's hard they're full.

If it feels like a balloon it might also be a ruptured air sac. Basically air under the skin from an injury to an air sac. It might resolve on its own but it also might need treatment.

That is the right position for the crop, though. If it feels more like something gritty or watery is in there, rather than just air, it is the crop.
