Call the regular number of the police department that has jurisdiction, she does not have to tell them who she is, just explain the situation. IF HE GETS CAUGHT in that house selling drugs, they ALL go to jail, the kids go to foster care and the property will be seized. She needs to call immediately.

Okay I am on the phone with her now, she is crying and flipping out scared. She is so scared. I am reading her all of these comments so that she can get moving on this!! You guys are great!! Thank you so much. Any other advice is more than welcome!!

I would call the law first, but as sure as the sun rises in the East if that man had drugs in that house, around my babies, he would leave, either willingly, or feet first. it doesn't matter where he gets his mail, if he is asked to leave then he should be made to leave. If her dad is aware of it, as their landlord, he has the right to have him removed from the property because of the drugs. If its meth, the EPA or whoever can come in and condemn the property, so its in his best interest to take care of this problem as fast as he can. This is not a rare occurance; it is so sad our country has become the mess it has become. I hope the best for your family member; I know this can't be easy for her!!!

If she wants to keep the children completely uninvolved in this she needs to get out Now! If the police come to the door to arrest him and they are there DCF will find a way to take the kids for negligence, or worse. Just being in the house where a possible crime of that nature is underway will bring someone knocking at her door whether he's still there or not. (Just some bad experiences, not a person whose been bad)

At this point who cares whose house it is. If she informs on him she might be able to work a deal, but get it in writing with a lawyer present.

I agree, get her AND the kids out of the house, for health reason, as well as Child Protective Services reasons. THEN call the authorities. I would be packing up some kids clothes, a few videos and some snacks and hit the road to a women's shelter ASAP.

Since you're also in ohio, could the kids come and visit you (with mom if need be) for the next week while the cops arrest the husband for manufacture/dealing? That way as soon as she suspected, she got the kids out of the situation. Soon as the kids are off for thier visit, call the cops, tell them what she saw/found and have his butt picked up.

No need to evict if he's off to jail.
