Any members using "Netflix"?

We have netflix and no cable. absolutely love it. We can instant stream in the LR on our xbox and / or computer while son streams through his xbox in his room and 3 dvd's at a time and for only 18 bucks a month. will not get cable backat those high prices when we can watch what we want on our schedule so cheap. I just keep up with news online

We subscribed about two weeks ago. The turnaround time on receiving DVDs is awesome -- so fast! We're on our third already. Having the movies to watch right away online (or on our phones) is pretty sweet, too.

We have had it for a month now and love it. The grandkids can watch all their TV shows online or on the TV and best of all my son has the PS3 disk on base and can get the instant movies just like we can here at home. The turnaround time is just great I drop one in the mail and they have it the very next day and usually ship a new one to me that same day.

We watch movies via our XBox 360... but if I want to go to bed and watch a movie... I just connect my laptop to my TV via a HDMI cable and watch it on the TV. I love Netflix, just wish they had more newer movies on the "instant" list.

I have also gone to Limewire and downloaded episodes of shows I can't get... like True Blood on HBO... hook the laptop to the TV and watch them on full screen. Works great... and with Hulu around... cable is becoming obsolete.

Netflix!! We get movies with a two day turn-around time, and can pick any movie we want. We just returned "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and are getting The Lightning Thief on Saturday. My son can run movies through his Wii, and really enjoys that. I don't know how it works, exactly, but he is more technical than me. There was something else I was going to say about this, but I'm super tired and forgot. Sorry. Anyway, we really enjoy it, and for $9.00, it can't be beat. Especially since we have no movie rental within 50 miles of us. Not even a redbox.

Remembered what I was going to say. I'm pretty sure that the "instant" movies are just that. Pretty darn instant. I only use the mail in dvds though.

$9 a month gets you 2 at a time in the mail and unlimited streaming movies. I dont have a way to watch on TV so I use my laptop. So far so good, had it for several years. Get the movies in the mail in 2 days or less and on the laptop Ive had no trouble viewing, we do have DSL. I think its very worth it, try the 2 week free trial and give it a shot.

We have been members of Netflix for about six months now and enjoy it. We do not have the instant viewing, however. You do need to have a fairly fast internet connection for that and ours isn't yet.

We get the two movies at a time deal which is about $14 or so. Once we mail back a movie, we get one back in about 2-3 days. The only drawback we have had is getting a movie and having it skip or get stuck and having to send it back to get a replacement.

When that happened, I called immediately and told them about it and they sent out a replacement immediately along with the next video in our queue, they did not wait to receive the damaged disc back first. They mail the replacement immediately. It was excellent customer service and very accommodating.

I don't regret it.

I've subscribe for 5 years--since shortly after they started--best move I ever made, especially if you like to watch movies. No late fees and no mailing costs. It used to be there would be a problem with PO employees stealing DVD's but haven't had that in a couple of years. They have since the beginning moved distribution centers so they are closer to customers too---mine went from LA to NYC to Philly to Rochester and is now in Syracuse. They mail on Monday, I get it on Tues--when I return it they have it back the next day and they send out the next one in my queue. If a DVD is bad--last week I had one that was cracked all the way through--you notify them and they will send you an immediate replacement. I now also view them on my computer and Wii. Only problem is they now have an agreement with film companies not to distribute new DVD's until two weeks after they are released--used to be they'd come out the same day. Also most of the newer releases aren't available for streaming. To be honest, I don't seen any downside. What cost I pay in rentals I've more than saved by dropping HBO and Showtime off my satellite dish.

Edited to add: When DVD's went missing they believed me when I said I return or didn't receive them. However, they did ask me to file a complaint through the postmaster. The same is true about damaged/unplayable ones. Good customer service. once they straighten out their website so you could find stuff.

We have Netflix too, the three movie deal and I guess we have had it about 8 months or so. We have been very happy with the selection and turn around on the movies but there have been times we received movies that were scratched and didn’t work. We just sent them back and got new ones. I guess that is a good argument to have the larger plan in case you receive a defective movie.

My only real complaint is when we have had 3 movies sitting by the TV and no time to watch them. Seems a waste then but when the weather is bad we have plenty of time to enjoy them!

I would recommend Netflix. I have a DSL connection and have watched movies through my computer. They do load fast but when the connection slows the movie has to rebuffer and that takes enough time to get up and get something to drink. For me that only happens once or twice a movie. If you watch them online or through your Wii/Xbox it doesn’t count towards your limit of actual DVDs you can get either.

We had it, but canceled because we just weren't watching the movies much. But I really did like it a lot. They have a huge selection of movies and shows. All kinds of things. I never tried it on the WII, however. Through the mail shipping was really fast, I was surprised.
