Any model railroaders??

Yah. Count me in. When I was in high school 1959-61 my buddy and I had 4x8 layouts on our basements. Last winter I dug out all my old stuff ... kept most and eBayed some. I got four new steam engines ... the ones they make today have soooo much detail! Anyway, I ended up selling all of it so I could buy treated lumber for a new dock and some other stuff for the cabin.

Are you familiar with eBay? There's TONS of model RR on there. Look around at stuff for sale that's the same as yours. click on "watch this item" so you can see how many bids it gets and how much it sells for on your "my eBay" page. Get a copy of the model RR grading information chart so you can sound like you know what you're doing when you describe your items. Be very descriptive and friendly. Soooo many sellers on eBay don't bother with a lot of descriptive info, so if you do, you'll have an advantage.

Sorry I got on my soap box. Hope this helps.

My DBF is huge into this stuff. I gave him the whole finished basement for his N-scale layout. We recently moved so he's still not ready for op-sessions yet but it is coming. He expanded operations and bought a new Zepher system to run it all. He is a Power Seller on eBay for his extra model trains and structures. I am more interested in rail fanning the real thing but I have helped during op sessions.

I got a bunch of 'N' scale, but I'm going more for a portable layout. Maybe later I'll add to it. Mostly SP & UP & a smattering of other roads before I decided which were going to be the main ones.
