Any Of You Ever lived In A Haunted House?

My house is haunted. I have little experiences almost daily. So does my wife, but she doesn't believe in ghosts so she brushes it all off as something else.

See, we're the second owner of this house, the first owner bought it new back in 1951 and lived in it ever since. The old man died in his bed 3 years ago, and the old lady wanted to move, and sold the house to us. The old man was very strict, and very religious, and it was always my assumption that I really piss him off with my brewing beer, viking metal music, etc. And that's how I explain a lot of the weird experiences.

On tuesday night, I come home from work and there were all my mugs in the kitchen, arranged in a circle in the middle of the floor. I normally keep them in a drawer. Stuff like that happens all the time.

Now you see this would make me mad and if I knew it was a man-ghost (have to be a man ghost, a woman would not make a mess

no pun intended) it would be on. I would yell at him for making a mess and leaving it, he ain't the one that cleans around here so he'd better straightin' up and act right

I find the stories where stuff is touched and moved around, like the mugs or the knives (!!!Cetawin!!!) very interesting. How can something we can't see actually touch solid things and move them around? Another dimension?

We had our TV go off and on the minute I walked into the house one day. I thought hmmmm and shut it off with the remote, it immediately went on again very loudly this time. I shut it off again, this happened about 4 or 5 times before DH just hit the switch on the wall. Darn it! I wanted to see how far this was going to go! A lot of our electronics went huey like that for a few years......but I don't think it was a "ghost" our daughter was 14 or 15 at the time and she was going through a rough spot, and I think it was more a"poltergeist" kind of thing. Still interesting though.

jrossetti, having no experience at all with the paranormal, I feel I must butt in.

PLEASE buy a CD of big band music, from the 1940's era, and play it. See what happens. Or tell him "I get to play my music when I'm here. But when I leave, you can play your music. Then you quit messing with our things. Deal?" And put the CD on when you leave.

May I change the subject just a teeny bit and ask what kind of viking metal you listen to?

I promise it will go right back to ghost stories!
My husband LOVES metal and is into european bands. He is Danish as well and I know he'd be interested.
