Any Olive Egger breeders out there? IL

Yes, I will post some. Sorry to be so late getting back with you. Will try this evening. Thanks.

we' got them now!! see pics of eggs, hens and roo in this category, look for 12 easter eggs from w.v. you' ll get 15 instead of 12.eggs are a little greener than pics show. hope this helps!!

These are eggs I am hatching now, and they are from an EE hen that was in with various marans roosters. I am hoping for these chicks to lay darker eggs than these in the spring. I have other different marans to put them with when they start to lay, to darken up the eggs if need be. My friend has some super duper SQ barred rock to put her with if I want to go for better barring, bigger birds.

Hi, I have a photo of my olive eggers - they are next to the white leghorns - it is a light olive.

It is hard to show the right color. Several times I have tried to photograph my green eggs and the picture doesn't show the true beautiful color. Something about the digital photography washes out blue and makes it look gray. I have noticed that when photographing grey dogs as well. The pic in the yellow carton, I under exposed it by two, (or -6) and this was the best photo I could get to show the color. Here is one with some brown eggs, and the towel and the eggs both turned grayish looking in natural light.

Gorgeous eggs, people. Really beautiful.

Right now I have one EE that lays robin's blue eggs, and one that lays a medium olive egg. I have a couple more EE's that will be laying in Spring. All of these will have access to both an EE roo and an Cuckoo Marans roo. I will be shipping these fertile eggs beginning April 2009. Those that hatch will be either EE's or EE/CM crosses, and those pullets will eventually lay dark olive eggs.

So there you go. PM me in Spring, okay?
