a bumpy dirt road in Florida
Things here have been a little slow, I've been sick, hubbys been worse and hasn't found a job, lost some young birds due to the cold & coons and it's taking forever to finish our new chicken barn.

Most of my family's moved and those still around I barely talk too.
I know others have it way worse, but I still feel down in the dumps. Whats up in your life? We need a pitty party.

*big hugs!*

things are okay here really, other than a sinous headache so I really can't complain. I've been practicing the optomistic thing lately and it's actually been working.

Bob Marley songs have been helping he he! "three little birds" and "dont worry be happy"

Least it lifts my spirits.

I hope all things get better for you soon! Lost a young pet roo a few weeks ago to a coon but the issue was resoved the next night with a live trap....22lb raccoon never seen one so big.

Sorry things are not going well for you C-zoo.

I have something to complain about, although I really shouldn't.
My soon-to-be DILs just brought the 2 year old GS up here after they fed him non-stop halloween candy for about 4 hours. Parents! This is really not a nice thing to do to us older (as in middle aged) folks! Especially those folks that have a house full of glassware and antiques and a nervous dog!

Also, not to open a can of worms but do the younger generation know that a good swat on the rear when a child is bouncing off the walls never hurt any of us? *sigh* I'm so old.
And JOY! I've just been informed that they are coming back tomorrow to spend the weekend. So much for the coop getting painted.

Yes, I know there are more important things, but this is s'pose to be a pity party.
C-zoo, I sincerely hope there's a turnaround in fortune for y'all and real soon. Let me know when you get a chance to do the brahma stickers. I'm looking forward to em.
For y'all that hasn't seen Chickenzoo's awesome artwork, check it out in the buy, sell, trade - everything else forum.

chickenzoo, I can have a pity party with you. I recently had to increase my seizure medication. The level I'm at now makes me REALLY sleepy all the time!!! It won't go away. And our copay on this one medication is $150/month. There's no generic, and I'm either allergic to or do not tollerate pretty much all of the other anti-epileptic meds. We are drowning in medical and credit card debt. Still owe like $1200 on my last brain surgery which was May 2007. Also, I had to go to the ER last month. Had to have a CT scan and MRI. Just waiting on this bill. It's going to be like $1700. javascript:insert_text('

',%20''); DH works crazy hard but it's never quite enough. I'm so flippin' tired of barely making it paycheck to paycheck. I have had 3 brain surgeries now. My DH told me last night that I was like a BMW. I run really good and am fun to drive, but cost a fortune when I break. I couldn't have asked for a better man. Anybody else would have given me back to my parents and filed a case for the "Lemon Law"!!!

I feel your pain. We are both employed, but my fiances' pay was cut about $800 a month and we had to buy a car because his company car was taken away, so we have lost about $1000 a month and our bills are drowning us too. He is down tonight thinking about Christmas. Ya know 2, 5, and 7 year olds don't understand about not having any money.

Money does not buy happiness or love. And kids that age really don't understand the lack of, they just want.
Could be a time to show your kids the true meaning of Christmas.
I could disclose many downfalls we have, but rather say..we're all going to get through this.
And I love Bob Marley's 3 Little bird song.

Debiraymond, growing up we didn't have a lot of money and my Dad was dieing of cancer. We always made each other gifts and I remember one time my Dad had to go to the woods and cut down a couple of sprigly looking pines so we could wire them together to make a tree. Those are some of my best memories. It's the doing things together that mean a lot. I know it seems like kids now a days don't appreciate those things, it's just they were never taught too. Some of my best gifts were made at our poorest times, it brings out one's creativity - no no We all have some.
MYCHICKENSROCK - You don't count, you have REAL issues to be concerned with.
