I know it is random. My little brother was 6 or 7, he's 8 now, but he was deathly scared of hobos. He didn't know what a hobo was, but he thought that they were killing, attacking, umm monsters. Being his older brother i would babysit him, and when it was dark and it was just us, i would freak him out so much. And you guys might also have heard of a JabberWocky. He didn't like to go into the garage, because he thought they were in it, and by the way jabberwockies are supposedly monsters to him. And again i helped in telling him that there were Jabberwockies in the garage hahahahaha.

I am more scared of their cousin the clown. But I feel the Hobophobicness.

I feed hobos. There's several who pick the recycling out of the trash at the beach I take the kids to. I pack a few extra sandwiches and fruit to share.

Now clowns are just plain creepy.

Y'all must have some sedentary hobos. I've had too many run-ins with aggressive hobos. Maybe the heat addles their brains. Heck, maybe it addles MY brain.

As a kid our home must have been marked as a "safe" place for hobos. They would frequently stop by, ask if there was any work to do, and ask if they could have something to eat. My Mom always made up a little job and then fed them. They would say thanks and move on. This was back in the 40's, and they never stole anything! Today???? I would not be so trusting.

Not so much with hobos, but I am freaked out when I have to walk through a huge crowd standing at the bus stop in Baltimore, MD. You have to squeeze yourself in between people that you don't know, or take the chance of walking in the street and being run over.
