Any one want to join me in waiting for eggs, posting and comparing notes?

Thanks for that but Brooster is the pediatric chicken mom,,,,,I give her a big kudos too, I wouldn't know the first thing about helping those babies... Your eggs are just beautiful and a few look to be very big!! My RIR lays some giants on occasion, all with double yolks. I keep telling her to quit being an over achiever or she'll run out of eggs before it's time. ha ha. I truly love her and think RIRs will be my go to breed,, she's got such a nice personality and consistently lays.

How embarrassing! Sorry I got mixed up! Blessings to ALL chickie moms but especially to you Brooster...I cannot imagine splinting and making orthopedic shoes....

Congrats on the pretty eggs! My girls gave me 3 eggs so far this morning.

On a sad note my hubby broke my 2 new Pampered Chef Loaf pans while doing dishes today. We just used the second one for the first time last night.

I can't afford to get any more. The newest one I had a party and got it for $10 off. That's still $14.
Oh nak, that stinks!

I love those things, and covet mine like crazy! Look at the bright side,,, at least he DOeS the dishes! sorry love!

EE' s take longer to lay then other breeds. My EE was 39 weeks 2 days when she laid her first egg. Hang in there!

LOL - I have a very weird EE! I have Barred Rocks, RIR, a white Silkie, and an EE that are all the same age. Guess who laid first at 20 weeks? The white Silkie, who are also supposed to take forever to lay. Guess who laid second, exactly at 21 weeks? My EE! She has laid me 4 pretty greenish/blue eggs and NONE of the other girls have even laid me one egg yet.

That white EE is gorgeous... but I think she may take a while more as well. My EE's were 22 weeks, 4 days and the other was 23 weeks, 3 days. That was with a first egg on December 24th. I was hoping that with spring here (Happy Ostara everyone... the First day of Spring) and more light that all our girls would start a little earlier. My gold star is at 19 weeks... I guess she will keep me waiting... I think she will keep me waiting till after 20 weeks... just because the others started early;)
