Any one want to join me in waiting for eggs, posting and comparing notes?

Had some of DH's clients to dinner tonight, and there was 15 posts when I got back here!
so I'm not sure what's going on with our dominic she's staying by her self in the coop and just fluffed up in a ball, her necks not extended at all. Anyone have any ideas? Hope she's not sick

I hope by the end of the day she was acting more like herself. I hate that puffed up look. I hope tomorrow you tell us she was better. How is her breathing? No sneezing or dishcarge?
She sits there then its like shes woken up acts like a chicken then back to just sitting there. Yes I've seen her drinking and eating

Poor Stella, this took her longer then normal to lay this one LOL

I had one just like that the other day, it weighed 3 and 1/4 ounces. When I cracked it open, It was a double yolker!

I went to put my chickens to bed after letting them Free range and GRETA was not in the coop with the others. I have looked EVERYWHERE for her. I guess the good news is that we didn't find any feathers anywhere either. Hoping she will show up in the morning.
OH MY GOODNESS, this is my worst nightmare. I couldn't find one of my girls when I went to close the coop two nights ago, and found her in the barn.. Shoot, I pray Greta is waiting for you in the morning, waiting to get some food! So scared reading this. Good Luck nakstk, I hope this turns out ok. shoot...

Oh MB it is my biggest fear come true. I am hoping she is just hunkered down in some grass somewhere. There are lots of cats that live in this neighborhood. No too many other wild animals. I am just so worried about her we dont have a barn or any other out building that she could hide in. I have seen a few neighbors that have had there garage doors open tonight she may have wondered in one. but they always stay so close to home.

My son has an away basketball game at 10 tomorrow too. I will keep you all updated. Thanks for the prayers and thoughts . I know it is just a chicken but it just makes me sick to my stomach.

Luckily for her it is dry tonight and only getting down to 37 for the low tonight. I am trying to take my mind off her so I am playing a little Just Dance 4 with my family. we are all sweating and laughing so hard our tummy's hurt it's great! I know I did all I could for the night to look for her. all four of us looked for about 30 minutes then I looked again for about an hour. It's so hard for me to stay in the house and not be out there looking. I am thanking God it's just a chicken and not one of my boys. Although, if it was one of my boys they wouldn't be hiding someplace.

You are doing the right thing! Perfect way to have balance, and drink those boys all up... we only have them for so little time. My first baby getting ready to graduate college... I swear only last week I was bringing him home from the hospital.

Night all,
xo... MB

I know, My oldest is 16 and in the 10th grade I am so proud of him he got all A's this semester. He has been getting letters and emails from different colleges and I am SO not ready for that.

My oldest at University of Delaware. My second son is graduating HighSchool, and still waiting to hear back from schools. Third son is a 10th grader as well. Finally bumped up to Principals list (GPA over 95) Taking two AP courses, driving me nuts. He is my volcano.. never know when he's gonna blow. SO hard on himself, (and me) lol...
And my baby girl is 11, and in 6th grade.. wish I could just stop her right now, and keep her this way for a few years. so wonderful and kind and innocent. Throws down her books the minute she is off the bus, and out to the barn she goes. What a love bug....

Here she is last July24th, picking up the flock from Meyer Hatchery..All smiles all the time. too cute.
Speaking of love bug,,I have to share this. I had a visit from my nephew yesterday. He just started walking, and as soon as we put him down, he toddled over to the girls who were free ranging. Of course, they think any two legged creature is going to give them a scrambled egg or Black Sunflower seeds. These pictures are before they pecked his hand, and he collapesed into a pool of hysteria.

Your daughter is so pretty and that little nephew is SO cute. My younger son is 10 years old. No nieces or nephews for us I really wish I had some but I will settle for my friends's kids being my pseudo nieces and nephews. lol My brother, my brother in law and sister in law are still single and the youngest one is 30.
