Any one want to join me in waiting for eggs, posting and comparing notes?

The sun is out and the temp is tolerable! I need to take advantage of this weather and clean the coop and brooder. 2 week old chicks are so messy!! Speaking of chicks...here are some pics as I promised MB. The first one is a Cuckoo Marans (I didn't order any Cuckoo Marans eggs btw. It was a surprise), and the 2nd chick is a mystery Marans. I thought it was Golden Cuckoo, but now I have no idea.

I want, I want, I so want!!!! I would love to add some Marens here. Love the thought of some BCM's. That chick on the right is so adorable, they both are, but love the coloring on the right. And you also take great pictures! Thanks Brooster!

So here are the requested pictures. The older chickens were hatched July 11th and 15th. The newbies were hatched the first week of December,
This is Hermia, she is a bantam And the white one is Slo-fro our confused chicken. Obviously a roo, but has never ever crowed(woo-hoo!) and likes to make nests and cackle with Hermia. Still waiting on eggs from Hermia. Slo is a mix of Buff Orphington and Silkie.

Here are the new girls-red and black sex links, enjoying the outside run in the sun.

Love these pics. I also would like a different Maren... I have 2 Cuckoo Maren. I will love to see how the 2nd one grows up. And with chicks they grow to fast then not fast enough;) Too fast they leave that so cute stage and then we are waiting like watching a water kettle getting ready to boil, for when they will first lay an egg... This is so much fun

We are getting a little chilly here... I think today will be only in the 60's. we should be in the 50's by Friday. Also some rain for Friday and Saturday... good we need it here. We may even get snow around here... Well maybe at my friend's house at lest. She is only about 15 mins from my house but she is also up at least 1000 feet. Maybe I should take the dogs there so they can try playing in snow.

I have some video of one of my girls laying an egg... I so want to put it up for all of you. I guess I will have to check out getting an account at YouTube...

Look what came today!

Finally one of my SS hens laid and egg. Great timing too we were going to be one egg shy of the 4 needed for our banana bread we were making. Bess was out there making such a ruckus not really singing the egg song just squawking. All 5 of them have really been getting redder combs this last week. I have read that it is usually the second week in February when the ones that molted in the fall start to lay again. Really hoping for more eggs.

Still no sign of Greta. It's still so strange to me. No feathers nor blood anywhere. Also no increase in crows or other scavenger birds anywhere near by to indicate a carcase.
