Welcome to this awesome lil group and welcome to the blackberry cake recipe I have 8 girls, 4 are laying but only 1 will squat for me. My layers are all over the calendar for ages and the ones not laying are at 27 weeks and 21 weeks LOL No rhyme or reason here at all lol. Hopefully soon for you Its so fun to be easter egg hunting everyday!

Chicken face, my barred rocks started laying around 21 weeks. All my girls squat except for the partridge plymouth rock, but she's just plain sassy anyway and she lays a couple of days straight and then stops for a few and then starts again. My RIR still sings everytime that partridge is on the nest-- it's such a funny thing.

So our Dominique is singing like crazy, wish she'd stop the yakking and start a cracking! LOL I guess she sings everytime one of the other girls lays. Waiting for our winds and rains to hit, we have Gale warnings through Saturday 4pm. Sometimes it does, sometimes it misses us we will see... Happy Friday everyone!!! 2 eggs this am from our newest layers, still small.

It's been nasty windy and rainy here starting last night at about 10:45 ish. Big rain drops my girls have decided its a good day to just hang out in the coop today. This weather system we have coming it is huge and they are saying lots of rain. Not looking forward to that. Tomorrow my 10 yr old has baseball tryouts in the morning then his last basketball game at noon. We are making the drive North to Chehalis to watch our high school boys state basketball game!

Lots of yucky rain here, too. At least I got 3 eggs today! I'm still anxiously awaiting that magical day where I get 4 eggs. I know all of them are laying, we just need to get our schedules synchronized. Get with it, Ladies!

We're getting the wind and rain here too now. Looks very black heading our way from the west 4 eggs for us today Nothing out of Lilly but she was in the nest most of the day maybe tomorrow!

Debbie I will be thinking of you tonight. I hope all is well for you and yours. And that is for everyone with all that bad weather. Today was a day off for me... and I could have done dozens of different things inside... but I thought of all you wonderful people out there with bad weather. So, I spent the day in my herb garden ... weeding and planting. Some iris are coming up and a freesia surprised me in the weeds... just about ready to burst. Some of the flowering trees are slowly opening up buds and the daffodils have been blooming for weeks. This is not a brag or anything... I just have some magic of nature around and I wish I can share it. I know it is just around the corner for the rest of us.

Thank you and we are good My weather station says it never got above a 22 mph wind gusts temps were at 22 too brrrr. Still windy and 29 this am but the girls are out and looking like they're enjoying themselves LOL I was a little stressed because my son and daughter in law were flying into this stuff last night but all are home and safe! Looks like a day to work on my crocheting, have 7 beaver hats to make for a bowling team lmao Have a great day !

Good Morning Catsol and debbie, and everyone!

Weather is crappy here as well, the forecast is dismal for the entire week. Slushy rain on top of all this ice is treacherous for us all, so afraid one of the horses is going to fall. I have a 22 year old, and a 16 year old that I worry about, healthy but if they fall, it would be a tough one.

Cat, don't ever worry about telling us about your sun, and flowers and herbs. Thoughts of it keep me happy and looking forward to spring here! I love that you get peace and solace from it, and share it with all of us... Send us some pictures of your flowers, spread the cheer!

Have a great day all. Heading out to clean stalls, and then devote the rest of the day to the kids. Sometimes they wait around too much for mommy and her animal work to be over. Heck, they are all big now, but still, love to spend time with them when I can get it. Love that I had my little girl last in the birth order, I can spend time doing girl things with her as I grow older. She is a love. xo
