Any other breeders who thread test sex of eggs using black thread on a needle?

I used to be able to dowse water when I was younger. 100% successful and actually had folks who paid me to place wells. I could tell if there was water, and estimate its depth based on how forcefully the dowsing rods pulled. I haven't been able to locate so much as a sprinkler line in the last 15 years.

I've always been very analytical but, when something inexplicable WORKS, I shrug and accept it. Maybe the explanation will be revealed later. Or never.

I'll try this on our next hatch- DW will make sure there IS a next hatch.
 
I know I was just joking around. TECHNICALLY she is though. A hen mating a hen is like a human woman... I know it's just because she's taking the position of a rooster.
TECHNICALLY it's not. Maybe you could scrape by that the chicken isn't straight. But it's not transgender. Breeding in the animal kingdom often is about dominance anyhow.
