Has anyone heard of a "3 rated toilet"? If I have the term correct (I mary not.

Is it a good one? Is a 3 or a 5 or 6 better?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure the number ratings refer to "flushing power". The higher the number, the more pressure/force when flushing.

They have toilets now that have 3" flappers which use little water but excellent flush power. Most claim they can flush a bowl of golf balls (in case your husband likes to eat those). I have one and we are very happy with it. The bowl also doesn't sweat all summer like the old toilet.

That took me by surprise! hahahahaha

I don't know the answer either, michickenwrangler

Thank you, those who reply.

After some research I found my answer--it's a Home Depot way of measuring good-better-best toilets. (1-3 good, 4-7 better, 8-10 best)

Thanks anyway

I've been plumbing for 21 years and I wouldn't put a Kohler anything in my house! The price isn't comparable to the quality of the fixture! Way too expensive for what you get. In my opinion, unless you want a "Pretty Toilet", usually a contractors grade (what the plumbing wholesaler generally sells to the contractors when no certain type is specified are usually the best bang for the buck! If you want a quality toilet without paying out the butt (sorry, couldn't stop myself! LOL!) stop by your local plumbing wholesaler and ask for their contractor grade fixture. You will be well satisfied, I am sure. JMHO

The main thing to remember is the drain offset from the wall.

I replaced our toilet last year, after the old one..... er...... um...... crapped out.

Some things are too irresistable

I got an $80.00 Jacuzzi brand, 16" disability height at Home Depot on sale and it is water efficient and works like a champ. Plus, I can tell people we have a Jacuzzi at home!

The Cimmaron is well worth the money. You can wipe all day and not plug it up. It is also much quieter at night and the fill feature is quiet. I will; eventually replace all my toilets with one of those. Comes in a round bowl or elongated.
