My poor Blutoo has been through a lot lately. Wazine and Corid treatments for several days with the rest of the flock. Now she's just lethargic and not eating much (soft crop, but not smelly). Her poop looked odd today. I've never seen bloody poop in a chicken, but I was wondering if this could be what it looks like? If not, does it look look like worms? Sure hope not! She was on a pink towel with wood shavings, so the pink background is a towel. I broke open the poop so more could be seen. Oh, the things we do for our chix!

She was on 2 T of Corid per gallon of water for 5 days. Should I put her back on it?

Liquid. I put them on the strong dose since it's been so hot and humid here and the one hen I sent to the lab definitely showed signs of coccidiosis.

But it looks like I should still have them on a preventative dose. Back to the drawing board...

But weird... I thought my Corid said 2 Tablespoons, not teaspoons. Maybe I OD'd her, thought all the rest of the chix seem fine even with too much meds.

Does you Corid have a label with "chicken" doses on it?
I've not see that label.

I actually think it does. But it's outside in the shed, and I'm all snug and comfy inside, so I will check tomorrow and get back with you. :) Thanks for your support! Glad all's well with you in Houston. I read some of your posts from the hurricane. Terrifying!
