You were correct. I have given my ladies so many meds lately that they're blending together! The Wazine has the dosage for chickens on the bottle. The Corid has dosage info for calves and swine. In any case, I need to retreat for both apparently. Can't wait to get over these shenanigans!

Wazine is only for roundworms.
Have you seen any roundworms since you have already used the wazine?

Honestly I never saw the worms myself. But the hen tested definitely had them. In any case, Wazine calls for a second dosage, which I gave them today. I also need to put them back on the Corid (lower dose), so I think I'll do that starting tomorrow for five or so days. By then I hope to have received the antibiotic that will take care of the mycoplama that they also found in the tested bird. Most of my birds seem better, but some still have congested breathing from time to time.

If after ALL THAT my birds still seem under the weather, I'll get another wormer. Poor things. Geez, it will also be nice to finally be able to eat some eggs again. Hopefully by Halloween! We've been tossing them for weeks now.

I wonder whether I don't overreact at times. I don't get it how so many people (many of whom keep their coops and chicken runs what I would consider filthy) say their chickens are never sick.

Lesson learned, though, about bringing in adult chickens. I think I'll just buy day old chicks or hatch my own. It's not worth the hassle to ever go through this again.

Bringing in adult or "older" birds is a big no no as you are seeing now,

(What is the mycoplama? Do you mean Mycoplasma gallisepticum/MG?)
